In a major setback for Pakistan, the star wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan Khan sustained an injury in his right knee during the 15th over of the match against India in the super-4 round of the tournament. He was in an attempt to carry a bouncer from the young pacer Mohammad Hasnain. During this attempt, He landed up at an awkward angle and the ball went over his head.
He was feeling pain during the match and the physio of Pakistan ran immediately to the ground to check with Rizwan. Rizwan could have been seen limping on the field but still, he batted brilliantly for Pakistan and played a match-defining knock of 71 runs off 51 balls with six boundaries and two sixes on his credit.

Thanks to his brilliant inning and an amazing partnership with Mohammad Nawaz helped Pakistan to cross the line in the last over and register a win of five wickets against the men in blue. Nawaz was awarded player of the match for his blistering knock of 42 runs off just 20 balls with six boundaries and two sixes.
Earlier, the Indians posted a decent total of 181 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Former skipper Virat Kohli played a very fine knock of 60 runs off 44 balls with four boundaries and a six to his name. Other than him, skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul also scored 28-runs each.
Now, both teams will face Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in their next matches of the super-4 round of the tournament.
Coming back to Rizwan, then he is currently the highest run-scorer during the ongoing 15th edition of this continental tournament. He has scored consecutive half-centuries against Hong Kong in the group stage and super-4 round respectively.
