Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been enduring a poor run of form for the last couple of years. He is struggling for his 71st international century since the last one he scored against Bangladesh in a Test match three years back in 2019. But apart from that Kohli has stature in world cricket which nobody can deny.
He has scored so many runs with the bat that it would never be an exaggeration to call him a modern-day great. He is now only behind former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar and former World Champion Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting.
The Delhi batter has recently made a comeback to international cricket after a sabbatical of one month. He made his appearance in the first match of India during the Asia Cup 2022 against the arch-rivals Pakistan.
Recently, another rival player heaped his praises on Virat Kohli just after Shaheen Afridi prayed for the form of Kohli in the international cricket.
We really want him to come back in form & score lots of runs - Nizakat Khan on Virat Kohli
Just before the commencement of the moment, best wishes were pouring out for Kohli from the Pakistani camp. The ace speedster Shaheen Afridi who was ruled out due to the injury met Kohli and greeted him. Afridi also said that he will surely pray for Kohli to return to the batting form very soon.
“Aapke ke liye duwayein kar rahe hai, aapki form wapas aa jaaye. Dekhna chahte hai aapko (Praying for you to get your form back. Want to see you perform),” said Afridi to Kohli in a video posted Pakistan Cricket Board on their official Twitter handle.
Recently, another opponent player in the Asia Cup 2022 has praised Virat Kohli and he is none other than Hong Kong’s skipper Nizakat Khan. Just ahead of the match against India, he said:
"I am a big fan of Virat Kohli, he played well against Pakistan, we really want him to come back in form & score lots of runs."

Notably, if India wins in the next match against Hong Kong, then they will become the second team to qualify for the super four round of the tournament after Afghanistan.
