The Indian team is gearing up for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 commencing on the 27^th of August later this week. The men in blue will start their campaign in the tournament against the arch-rivals Pakistan on the 28^th of August (Sunday) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. A few senior players including the likes of regular skipper Rohit Sharma, senior batter Virat Kohli, and senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will be back in the squad.

Although, former skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli is enduring a poor run of form with the bat for the last couple of years. He is struggling to score his 71^st international century since he scored the last one against Bangladesh during a Test match three years back in 2019.
