The franchise T20 leagues across the globe has bridged the gap between players and opposition. Players from different countries like Australia, New Zealand, England, and South Africa have managed to develop a special bond due to T20 leagues like ITL, BBL, PSL, BPL, and CPL. Jonny Bairstow and David Warner, who have played for Hyderabad in the Indian T20 League gave a demonstration of their friendship in the ongoing Ashes.
The fourth Ashes Test match is currently being played in Sydney. The visitors are yet again under serious pressure. England bowlers had a long day on the field as Australia scored 416-8 in their first innings, thanks to Usman Khawaja’s epic 100. However, Bairstow’s antics on the field managed to get appreciation from David Warner.
The incident occurred when Mitchell Starc pulled a short bowl. Bairstow, who was positioned near the boundary, failed to see the ball. Rather than stopping it, the English player signalled to his teammates he did not trace the ball coming in his direction.

However, Bairstow managed to stop the ball in his next attempt. He also signalled to the crowd, who lauded his efforts. Australia opening batter Warner also came from the dugout cheered Bairstow for his efforts. The two players used to open for Hyderabad in the ITL and formed a lethal combination at the top. The power hitters opened in three seasons for the franchise. Both Bairstow and Warner though were not retained by Hyderabad ahead of the mega auctions.
Meanwhile, Australia have declared on a mammoth total of 416 for eight. Khawaja’s 137 and Steven Smith’s 67 were instrumental in the hosts getting to that score. The hosts have already clinched the Ashes series 3-0.
