Team India will be on a high as they are coming off after winning the Asia Cup title. Their next task will be the three-match ODI series which will take place just before the 2023 World Cup. For the series against the Kangaroos, KL Rahul will be leading the side in the first two ODIs, with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma being rested.

When it comes to comebacks, Ravichandran Ashwin who last played an ODI for India against South Africa in 2022 comes back into the side. With Axar Patel having a quadriceps strain, If he does not recover by 28 September then as per Times of India, Sundar or R Ashwin could come into the World Cup squad. Ashwin was part of the World Cup-winning squad in 2011.

Washington Sundar or R Ashwin could come into the side as spin-bowling all-rounder. The Men in Blue wanted Sundar to in the scheme of things and so he was called toΒ Sri Lanka ahead of the Asia Cup final. Ashwin has also been called up to play in the Australia series. The team management are also taking into consideration Sundar's fitness and have called Ashwin as a backup in case Sundar breaks down.
The Men in Blue will want to do well in the three-match ODI series against Australia. This will serve as a psychological advantage to India ahead of the World Cup. When it comes to the Kangaroos, they have a lot of personnel who are coming from injury. This includes the likes of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Steve Smith.
Australia lost a hard-fought ODI series against South Africa 3-2 and will come at India with all their might. This is an excellent chance for the Kangaroos to get a practice run in Indian conditions ahead of the World Cup. Australia beat India 2-1 just before the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL). All said and done the Indian World Cup squad is not finalised yet.

But Axer is more suitable in World Cup team.. His batting skill is much better than Ashwin.. He has the ability to hit sixes and fours and change the direction of game.. Yes off course Spin bowling Ashwin is best but considering with batting skill I will go with Axerπ₯
