Virat Kohli is currently busy playing the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) final at the Oval against Australia. After having a good IPL season with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), fans were expecting a good show from him in this clash. But, in the first innings, he failed miserably as Kohli scored just 14 runs.
Meanwhile, on day four, when Australia were cruising in order to post a huge target for the Men in Blue, a video went viral by the official broadcaster where Virat Kohli was seen talking about an old scrapbook. In that book, he claimed that he admired the Bollywood actor, Hrithik Roshan. Regarding that, Kohli said: "Kaho Na Pyaar hai was a cult, I gone crazy, especially the dancing."
“When I saw him playing for the very first time, I understood what the hype was all about” - Virat Kohli
Listening to such a statement, fans went crazy and shared their views on social media. Speaking about ‘Kaho na Pyaar hai’, it was a hit movie of 2000 where Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel acted. It was the debut film for both of them and it was a success. Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan was the director of the film. The movie’s songs and the dancing by Hrithik are still admirable to cinema-loving fans. However, ahead of this clash, Virat Kohli heaped praises on Team India skipper, Rohit Sharma.
In an interview with the Apex Council of Cricket, he said: "Rohit…umm, I have always said that he has got more time than anyone on the ball. And that is the special ability he has from day one. When I saw him playing for the very first time, I understood what the hype was all about and why he was rated so highly. And what he has done in White ball cricket for a long period, we all knew but the way he has performed in tests over the last 3-4 years is, you know, a testimony of his temperament towards playing Test cricket and having the belief that he can do it in tests at the highest level. As I said, he performed really well in these conditions and got a hundred at the Oval. Hopefully, he can repeat such a performance again in this final.”
