Bangladesh and South Africa's warm-up game in the 20-20 World Cup 2022 got washed off on October 19, Wednesday without a ball being bowled. However, the Twitter post from the Bangla Tigers page received a lot of hate as they portrayed the Proteas skipper Temba Bavuma as small contrary to Shakib Al Hasan.
In the picture, Bavuma can be seen as smaller in size as compared to Shakib. Proteas, comparatively, are the favourites to make it to the semi-finals and Bangladesh, on the other hand, will have to toil hard to make it through.
For the unversed, the Shakib-led men are grouped alongside India, Pakistan and South Africa in Group B. As it stands, the Bangla Tigers will get yet another opportunity to take on the Proteas in the Super 12 stage and they will look to seal a win.

Can South Africa make it to the semis?
With the team led by Bavuma losing against India in the recently concluded T20I series and ODI series, they will look to avenge the Rohit Sharma-led team in their Super 12 clash. Regarding their campaign opener, the team will face a qualifier on October 24 and it will be crucial for them to start with a win.
Although the team looks strong, the Proteas will have to work hard against India and an even stronger team Pakistan. With Shaheen Afridi returning to Pakistan’s main squad, every team including South Africa must brace for the fiery pace.
A win against the qualifier on their opener and a win against India would give them the much-needed hope to make it to the semis. However, the ultimate test would be against the Babar Azam-led team as they are in stupendous form. Pakistan, who won the tri-series at New Zealand, almost crushed the Afghanistan team on Wednesday’s warm-up until rain washed the match away.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, will face three tough times out of which two are Asian nations. Although they will have that advantage, it does not guarantee an easy run for Shakib’s boys as the other three teams make things tougher for them. Even though they will play two matches against the teams from the group stages, a loss each against India, Pakistan and South Africa could block the road for the Bangla Tigers.
As it stands, let us take a look at tweets from fans who slammed the Bangla Tigers page for their unfriendly picture:
And then you wonder why people dislike the Bangladeshi cricket team.
