Ben Stokes reportedly sustained a heel injury a day ahead of the ongoing El Classico game against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.

Chennai all-rounder Ben Stokes has been benched for the ongoing clash against arch-rivals, Mumbai Indians. He has managed less than 20 runs in the first two games for his team. However, in the second game against Lucknow Super Giants, Stokes came to bat at an unusual order. Meanwhile, it was reported in The Indian Express that the England Test skipper might be ruled out of the game.

It was said that the 2019 World Cup winner sustained a heel injury. Meanwhile, in the ongoing game, CSK skipper MS Dhoni has confirmed that Stokes has an injury. However, the former hasn't informed the nature of the injury. Apart from the New Zealand-born, Stokes, Moeen Ali is also missing the game

"We've had some injury concerns. Stokes has an injury. Mo is not well and in their place we've got Rahane and Pretorius. Other than that, same team," Dhoni said at the toss.

Talking about the playing XI of both teams, Ajinkya Rahane is making his debut in the Yellow Army. He has previously played for MI, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders. On the other hand, Sisanda Magala from South Africa is also making his IPL debut. From the Mumbai camp, Arjun Tendulkar is also included among the impacts subs and might play a role latter in the game.
