India and Pakistan are all set to face each other in the much-anticipated clash of the Asia Cup 2022. Both teams will face each other on the 28th of August at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Although, this meeting of both veterans didn’t go down well with the Indian fans and they started trolling both the players on Twitter. Notably, Babar Azam is currently the world’s number one batter in all the formats of the game. Whereas, Virat is struggling with the poor run of form with the bat for the last couple of years. He is waiting for his 71st century since the last one he smashed in a Test match against Bangladesh three years back in 2019.
Apart from this, the 33-year-old Indian veteran also failed during the last bilateral clash against England. He couldn’t even score a half-century on the entire tour. Following, the management decided to rest for the white-ball series against West Indies followed by the recently-concluded three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.
He will be back in action during the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 in the first match against Pakistan. Both teams have gone through major setbacks as ace speedsters Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been ruled out of the tournament due to their respective injuries.
