Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022: Day 10 Round Up- Four teams make it to the playoffs of the tournament

The final day of the league stages of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022 saw three matches go underway. With the conclusion of the league stages, the tournament now has its top four. New York Strikers and Morrisville Samp Army will now face in the first qualifier of the tournament, while Team Abu Dhabi and Deccan Gladiators will meet in the Eliminator. In the meantime, here is the round-up of the final league day of the tournament.

Match 26- Delhi Bulls vs The Chennai Braves

Delhi Bulls won the toss and decided to bat first at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. The match saw some incredible hitting from the Bulls as Rilee Rossouw, Tom Banton, and Tim David played small cameos of 26, 35, and 22 runs, respectively. They helped the team reach a total of 119-4 in their allotted 10 overs.

In the chase, Daniel Lawrence gave The Chennai Braves a good chance with the bat but did not get much support from other batters. He scored 45 runs in 25 balls, which was not enough as the Bulls kept taking regular wickets. In the end, they were restricted to 88-7, handing the Bulls a 31-run win. However, Delhi Bulls could not qualify for the playoffs.

Match 27- Northern Warriors vs Morrisville Samp Army

Batting first, Sherfane Rutherford and Adam Hose guided the Northern Warriors to a decent total of 117/7. The former scored 30 runs in 15 balls, while the latter scored 54 runs in just 25 balls. However, no other batter could do much for the team.

The Samp Army then lost an early wicket, but Karim Janat and Shimron Hetmyer got them back in the game. The two scored 25 runs and 45 runs, respectively. In the end, Chamika Karunaratne played a short cameo of 22 runs to guide his team through. They comfortably chased down the target with five wickets and nine balls to spare.

Match 28- Team Abu Dhabi vs New York Strikers

The final match of the league stage turned out to be a low-scoring one as Team Abu Dhabi was restricted to a score of just 78-8, thanks to Wahab Riaz's brilliant spell of 2-0-4-3. Tom Hartley and Rashid Khan also took two wickets each, while Jordan Thompson took one.

Muhammad Waseem, who scored 45 runs in just 20 balls, led the team in the chase. He was in peak form as he remained unbeaten to guide his team to a win with seven wickets and as many as 15 balls to spare.
