Gladiators were the most consistent team in the league stage and barring minor blips against Bangla Tigers and Team Abu Dhabi, they won all their games. They defeated Delhi Bulls in qualifier 1 to march into the final. The batting has been on fire in the tournament for Deccan Gladiators. The likes of Tom Banton, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Tom Moores, Andre Russell and David Weise have been in top form.
The bowling has also done commendably well, with Wanindu Hasaranga leading the pack. He is the highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 19 wickets in 11 games. Tymal Mills and Wahab Riaz have also bowled well.
Meanwhile, Delhi Bulls had a fantastic start to their campaign. They won seven and lost just three games in the league stage. Even though they lost qualifier 1 against Deccan Gladiators, they defeated team Abu Dhabi in qualifier 2 to reach the finals.
They bundled out Abu Dhabi for a mere 60 in their chase of 109. While the batting has blown hot and cold, any given day the players click, they can blow away the opposition. The likes of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Sherfane Rutherford, Dwayne Bravo, Eoin Morgan need no introduction about the skills they possess.
