‘Abe Chomu! kya dogla hain’ - Aakash Chopra slammed for comparing Rohit Sharma to ‘Plumber’ in old video

Aakash Chopra is currently in the headlines as his controversial Twitter war is going on with the former team India pacer, Venkatesh Prasad. Both these players are debating over the place of KL Rahul in the playing XI of team India. The star batter has been in terrible form in the Test format.

Still, he played in the first two matches of the ongoing Test series against the Aussies while managing a spot in the squad for the last two matches. So, Venkatesh Prasad has slammed the Indian Cricket Board for favoring the out-of-form batter over others. While Aakash Chopra has shown support for the batter and termed the former pacer as an agenda against Rahul.

Now, an old video has gone viral all over the internet where Aakash Chopra was seen comparing Rohit Sharma with a ‘Plumber’. In that video, the former India batter was asked if Rohit Sharma should be tried as a Test Opener or not. In reply to that, Chopra said: "Rohit shouldn't be tried as Test Opener. Ghar par light chali jaaye to aap electrician ko bulate hain, Plumber ko thodi na bulate hain". It seemed that he was not in favor of using Rohit as the Test opener. 

But, team India showed faith in him and the current team India skipper has performed really well as an opener. So, hearing such a weird comparison, fans slammed Aakash Chopra and shared their views on the social media platform. Speaking about Chopra’s career, he played only 10 Tests for the Men in Blue. In those matches, he scored only 437 runs at an average of 23. So, fans slammed him for making comments on a star batter like Rohit despite him making such a limited contribution to Indian Cricket. Currently, Chopra runs his official YouTube channel while analyzing games from all around the globe.
