On 1 May 2023, fans witnessed an ugly verbal spat between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) locked horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing IPL. RCB won the match by 18 runs but the controversial fight between them and LSG mentor, Gautam Gambhir made headlines.

Now, on 2 May, Kohli shared an image of his RCB teammates from the match on his official Instagram page. In the caption, he tagged the franchise with a red heart emoji. But, what attracted the eyes of fans was the reply made by none other than, Mr. Nags aka Danis Sait. He wrote: “King, 1 call, next time all of us boys will be on the ground with you.”

Speaking of Danish Sait, he is known as a famous comedian from India. For RCB, he works as an anchor and mascot. But, he is mainly famous for his Mr. Nags character as fans loved him to see in that avatar. He generally dons that avatar for the RCB Insider Show. In various videos, fans have witnessed that both Nags and Kohli share a great, fun bond between them. So, it was not surprising to see him lending support to the former RCB skipper after the controversial fight post-LSG clash.
Virat Kohli was all pumped up when he came out to defend 126 runs in 20 overs along with his teammates. After the win, he also acknowledged the support he and RCB received from the crowd despite being the away team. He said: “It was a really important win on the road for us. The fact that we got more support than the home crowd is an unbelievable feeling. It tells you all about how much we liked as a team and how people come out and back us and it’s a very sweet win, feels very good for many reasons.”
