Team India will be in action again on 17 February 2023 when they will take on the Aussies in the second game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The match will take place in Delhi. Rohit Sharma is coming off after a fantastic ton in the last game while Virat Kohli will look for some big runs in this match.

He has failed to score big in the longest format of the game, unlike the other two formats. So, fans will hope for a better show from the former India skipper. But, on 14 February 2023, Zee News’ sting operation exposed chief selector Chetan Sharma who came up with some explosive comments.

However, he also opened up about the only person who supported Virat Kohli during his difficult time. Virat was having trouble scoring a ton in any formats after 2019. Finally, he finished the drought as Virat scored his maiden T20I ton in the Asia Cup 2022 against Afghanistan. Then, he managed to score several ODI hundreds also in the last few months. Hence, when he failed to score in the last Test series in Bangladesh and the series opener against the Aussies, fans were not happy. On the other hand, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have always enjoyed a great fanbase. Both sets of fans have always been found to have a debate over social media platforms.

However, both players have always denied such rumours between them. After Virat Kohli’s heroic knock against Pakistan in the 20-20 World Cup 2022, Rohit Sharma was seen lifting the star batter with a big smile. Now, Chetan Sharma also shared that only Rohit Sharma was the person who supported Virat during his tough times. He said: “There are no rifts between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, they support each other. Both are like Amitabh and Dharmendra. Rohit Sharma was the one who supported Virat Kohli the most when he was going through a rough patch”.
