Notably, this century for Virat Kohli has come after a long wait of three years and after enduring a poor run of form with the bat for a long time.

The 33 -year-old smashed 122 runs off 61 runs against Afghanistan with 12 boundaries and six massive sixes to his name. The whole cricketing fraternity and cricket fans are praising him with their joyful reactions on various social platforms.

Other than this, AB de Villiers also tweeted after the 71st international century from the Indian legend of modern-day cricket.

“Proper Cricket game that! Tricky wicket with two really good bowling attacks. Congrats India and well done on 100th Virat👏👏🎉,” reads the tweet posted by de Villiers just after Virat completed his century against Afghanistan in the third super-4 match of the Asia Cup 2022.

Later on, ABD came up with another tweet praising the Delhi-born batter and wrote, “When I spoke to him yesterday, I knew something was brewing💪, well played my friend.”

Speaking of the match, the Indian team came to bat after losing the toss and posted a total of 212 runs for the loss of only two wickets in the allotted 20 overs. While chasing the target, Afghanistan could manage to score only 111 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the 20 overs. Eventually, the Indians won the match by a massive margin of 101 runs.
