But now, the former skipper of the men in green has shifted his stance over the same and blamed the Pakistan fans for his earlier reactions to this concern about Pakistan’s participation in the global tournament in India. Notably, this upcoming edition of the World Cup will be hosted entirely by India.

“We don't really want to go there but the fans want us to react. They are absolutely bitter because of what India's narrative has been regarding India-Pakistan. I am all for India vs Pakistan contest. I've said on record that I've been there for about 10 IPL editions. I love the fans, they like us as well,” said Ramiz Raja during a conversation with Michael Atherton on Sky Sports Cricket.

Later on, Raja reiterated that the Pakistan Board wants to send their team to India for the World Cup but they want things treated on equal terms.

We want to go there but it has to be on equal terms – Ramiz Raja

"Pakistan has become a brand in international cricket. The fact that the players have got fan-following in India and on record, I know, they are the second-most watched team in India. We want to go there but the fact is it has to be on equal terms, you can't be subservient to a certain cricket board,” the 1992 World Cup winner added later.

Although these comments from Ramiz Raja came up as an opportunity for a section of Indian fans to troll him. They went on to mock the PCB President for changing his stance and nodding ‘yes’ to playing the World Cup in India.
