On Day three of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) final, India were in all sorts of trouble when KS Bharat lost his wicket quickly after coming out to bat with Ajinkya Rahane. Rahane came to bat with an overnight score of 29* runs off 71 balls. Then, Shardul Thakur came and both of them scored 109 runs for the seventh wicket.
Finally, Rahane got out on 89 runs as Cameron Green took an excellent catch. He missed a deserving century but on his comeback, he saved India again by avoiding a follow-on. So, ahead of day four, his wife, Radhika Dhopavkar shared an appreciation post on Instagram and after seeing that fans shared their views.

“I am really happy with that way I batted.” - Ajinkya Rahane
Speaking of the post, she wrote: “Despite your swollen finger, you refused a scan to protect your mindset and focused on batting, displaying incredible selflessness and determination. With unwavering resilience and commitment, you took your place at the crease, inspiring us all. I'm forever proud of your unwavering team spirit, my resilient partner. Love you endlessly!” On day two, Rahane got hit on his right hand's index finger off a Pat Cummins bouncer. He immediately felt pain and called on the physio for treatment. However, he still continued and played a top knock for his team when the team needed it most.
Australia finished day three with a lead of 296 runs with six wickets in hand. So, after the end of play, while talking to the Apex Council of Cricket, Rahane provided an update on his injury. He said: "It was painful but quite manageable. I am really happy with that way I batted. We had a good day today, the partnership with (Ravindra) Jadeja and I and then with Shardul (Thakur) and myself was really crucial. We were aiming to get 320 or 330 (runs), but I think overall we had a pretty good day. Bowling wise we bowled really well in the second innings. Everyone bowled really well. (We’ll take it) session by session. We don’t want to look too far ahead, but we’ve seen funny things happen in this game."
