Indian team locked horns with the West Indies in the second of the five-match ODI series. The hosts outplayed Rohit Sharma’s men to win the first match in the ongoing white-ball itinerary. The hosts’ skipper Nicholas Pooran won the toss and invited the Indian team to bat first at Warner Park.

The Caribbean bowling attack bundled the visitors only on the score of 139 in 19.2 overs. Hardik was the only batter who emerged as the highest run scorer with his 31-run knock against the men in maroon. Eventually, Pooran & co. clinched a win of five wickets with the batting heroics of Brandon King as he smashed 68 runs.

Speaking of the match, then it started 3 hours later than the scheduled time.  The reason was very rare as the luggage of both the teams hadn’t arrived at St. Kitts on time. It was also the reason behind players’ adjustment to wearing each other’s jerseys. Prasidh Krishna's jersey was spotted with Deepak Hooda wearing it.

Although, the hosts have leveled the series with a score line of 1-1 after this win in the second fixture against India. Arshdeep also picked one wicket by conceding 26 runs in his quota of four over. He also got praises from the cricket fans for stellar performances since his debut in the T20 internationals. Notably, the 25-year-old bowled the first over of his career as a maiden and became the only second Indian bowler to do so after Ajit Agarkar.

Returning to jersey row, the fans assumed that the delay in the arrival of luggage may have been the reason for Arshdeep to offer his jersey to Suryakumar Yadav and fellow pacer Avesh Khan.
