None of the experts or fans in the cricketing fraternity can deny the revolution that has arisen in-game cricket with the arrival of T20 cricket. This revolution has inspired the teams to post the mammoth total on the board even in a game of 50 overs.  So it's a talk of the old days when 300+ scores were considered the big totals.

Now, the teams easily cross the 350+totals in a one-day match with the explosive and swashbuckling approach of their batters. In this neck-to-neck competition in the game, it is not even safe to defend a total of even 400 runs.

But speaking of team India, they are still struggling to post a total of 400 or 400+ whereas the teams including the likes of England and South Africa are reaching that total comfortably.

Meanwhile, young Indian opener Shubman Gill has come up with a bit of a different opinion. He went on to say that it is not possible to cross the mark of 400 in every single game.

400 plus scores in every match isn’t an achievable target – Shubman Gill

“The totals like 400 to 450 will happen in one or two games a year. More or less, it will be targeted around the 300-plus range, which is more probable. It also depends on the conditions that you are batting -- first batting or chase. But 400 plus scores in every match isn’t an achievable target,” said Gill in the post-match presentation after the washed-off second ODI against New Zealand.

Although these comments from the 23-year-old didn’t go down well with the Indian cricket fans and they went on to register their dissent over the same. Fans took to Twitter and went to the extent of comparing Shubman Gill with KL Rahul, who has faced heat several times for batting with a selfish approach.
