Irfan Pathan
Former veteran Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has contributed for almost nine years. He made his first international appearance for India almost 19 years back in 2003. He was the main element of the team during the title triumph of India 15 years back in the T20 World Cup of 2007.
Apart from cricket, Pathan has also displayed his talent in the movies. Recently, he has played an antagonist character Aslan Yilmaz, an agent of Interpol in Turkey. Considering the trailer, the movie seems an action-packed package for the fans.
Sunil Gavaskar
One of the all-time greatest batters who ever played the game for India in history. He was the first batter in history to complete 10,000 runs in the Tests. Sunil Gavaskar had also captained the Indians for a long time He was also a vital element for the team in the title triumph during the 1983 World Cup.
He had also made an appearance in a Marathi movie as well 34 years back in the year 1988. This movie was “Savli Premachi”. Later on, he also made a quick cameo appearance in a movie named Malammal, veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah was in the lead role in this movie.
Kapil Dev
The first ever captain in the history of Indian cricket who lifted the ODI World Cup. He was the captain of the team in the historic World Cup win of India in the third edition of the marquee tournament. He led the team in the World Cup of 1987 as well where they reached the semi-finals before getting lost to Australia.
Speaking of Kapil Dev’s appearances other than the cricket, then he was seen in the Bollywood movies including the likes of Iqbal, Mujhse Shadi Karogi and later on a very short appearance in his own biopic ’83’ movie in which Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was playing him as the captain of team India.
Ajay Jadeja
Former Indian barter made it to the headlines when a match-fixing scandal was exposed back in the late 90s and early 2000s. After being banned from cricket, Jadeja tried his fortune in acting in the year 2003. He played a role in the movie “Khel”. Apart from that, Jadeja kept playing in domestic cricket including the major tournament Ranji Trophy.
Although, currently he is an active commentator in cricket working with various national broadcasters during the international matches of the Indian cricket team. Earlier, the match-fixing allegations have been revoked from him after a probe.
Brett Lee
One of the most celebrated and handsome pacers on the Australian Cricket Team. Brett Lee troubled the mighty batting attacks in world cricket with his sheer pace and excellent bowling. He was ranked amongst the renowned pacers of his contemporary time including the likes of Shoaib Akhtar and Shane Bond.
Apart from the cricketing field, Brett Lee also maintained to be in the headlines for his other off-the-field activities. He also made his appearance in a movie as well. This movie is ‘UnIndian’. Although the movie’s performance was average at the box office and it was not his first appearance. Before that, he was also a part of the movie named ‘Babe’.
