Over the years, fans have witnessed several batters come up with some brilliant performances in the 50-over format. There are very few batters across the world who have managed to cross the 10,000 runs in ODIs. But, there are only three players who crossed this milestone with a six and left fans surprised with their fearless approach.
Here are the three players who reached the 10,000-run mark in ODIs with six
Chris Gayle vs England, 2019
This swashbuckling batter from the West Indies is the ninth-fastest batter in the world to reach this landmark in 282 innings. It was the fourth ODI against England that took place in St George’s and Gayle samshed 162 runs off 97 balls while chasing 419 runs.
But, his effort went in vain as England won the game by 29 runs. In that knock, Gayle smashed 14 sixes and when he hit his eighth six of the innings on the fifth delivery of the 17th over, he crossed the 10,000-run mark in ODIs. It was his 500th six in the international and 300th six in the ODI cricket.
