In a big piece of news, the coaching stint of Anil Kumble with the Indian T20 League franchise Punjab has ended. Now the franchise is in search of a new head coach for the upcoming season of Indian T20 League 2023 next year. The top management has also decided not to renew the contract of Kumble for another season.
The board of owners of the Punjab franchise consists of Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, industrialists Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia, Karan Paul, and CEO Satish Menon. They all came to a conclusion to appoint another head coach after relieving the former legendary spinner of the duties.

Eoin Morgan
The Ireland-born former legendary English captain Eoin Morgan has had a celebrated international career to his name, especially in the limited-overs format. The 35-year-old has also served as the captain of the national side of England very a long time up to 7-8 years. England won their first-ever ODI World Cup only under the captaincy of Morgan.
Apart from that, he has also contributed with his brilliant management and leadership skills in the Indian T20 League. He had been the captain of the Kolkata team before his retirement from cricket. Trevor Bayliss

In the Indian T20 League, he coached Kolkata from 2012 to 2014 then he was also the coach of Hyderabad from the 2020-2021 period.
Apart from that, Bayliss had been the coach of Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League from 2011-2015. The 59-year-old also witnessed the historic moment when the national side of England won their first ever World Cup in the history at the Lord’s under his coaching. He was in the power center of the team alongside former skipper Eoin Morgan.
His experience of coaching in the Indian T20 League makes him a bit more eligible to fill the vacant space of head coach for Punjab after Anil Kumble.
Ravi Shastri
Former Indian all-rounder has a very excellent experience of coaching to his name in international cricket. He produced some outstanding results for team India in all the formats of the game. Speaking of the records, then Ravi Shastri has the highest win percentage as a coach for India among all who have been in the role so far.
He has a winning percentage of 62.64 after winning 57 matches in 91 ODIs, John Wright, former Indian head coach is second on the list. The Indian team also succeeded in the longest format of the game during the coaching tenure of Ravi Shastri.
So, considering the Indian name in mind, he might be the first choice of Punjab’s management to appoint as the new head coach of the team for the upcoming season.
