Imad Wasim, the Pakistan all-rounder, has been an integral part of the team for a long time now. The player made the best use of every single opportunity that the board gifted him with. However, of late, the all-rounder kept struggling to make a mark for himself, albeit he is well known across the cricketing world.
The 34-year-old was a part of the 2021 20-20 World Cup squad. Ironically, his last T20I came against Australia in the tournament's semi-finals and Pakistan lost. The board announced the team for the 20-20 World Cup 2022 yesterday and Imad Wasim missed out on the squad.
Reasonably so, players expressing their concern on Twitter is a part of the game. A few players do come up with tweets expressing their displeasure and in this case, it was Imad Wasim. The southpaw came up with a famous image and posted it with the caption, "stay happy".

One can understand his frustration as no clear explanation is given for his exclusion. However, fans suggested that he must work hard and make a strong comeback to the team. A few fans backed him for the tweet and said he has done the right thing by showing his frustration.
Imad Wasim in T20Is
Understandably, Imad Wasim has done great things for the Men in Green and has donned the green jersey in more than fifty matches. The 34-year-old has amassed as many as 339 runs with the bat and has picked up 55 scalps in the shortest format so far.
Speaking of the Pakistan squad, they have gone with youngster Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan as the all-rounding option. While the former is yet to prove a point as an all-rounder, his innings in the Asia Cup against India in Super 4s might have given him an edge.
Surprisingly, Imad Wasim has an economy of 6.33, and his exclusion has baffled the fans to the core. One can never decode what went wrong with the player to beinT20 left out of the squad. However, fans would hope for his comeback to the national squad soon.
