In a recent and big piece of news, the cricket’s governing body has announced the schedule of the T20 World Cup 2022. The marquee international tournament will be played next month in October in Australia. A total of 16 teams are participating in the eighth edition of the tournament.
The warm-up schedule is divided into two slots, the first one is from October 10 to October 13 and the second one will be between the teams who have qualified for the Super 12 round on the 17th of October and the 19th of October.
Warm-up matches will start with the first clash between West Indies and UAE on the 10th of October at the Junction Oval. Defending champions and hosts of the tournament, Australia will play their only warm-up match against India on the 17th of October.
Meanwhile, the main round of the tournament will commence on the 16th of October. Sri Lanka and Namibia will face off each other in the opening encounter at Geelong.
