David Warner is one of the finest openers of this generation. The 37-year-old recently retired from Test cricket after playing his last series against Pakistan. He has been a sensational performer of the game. The Southpaw also retired from the ODI format of the game as well but he might be available for the Champions Trophy if required by the Australian team. He has been an entertainer on and off the field for the side.
Warner landed at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) most dramatically, flying in a helicopter ahead of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2023/24 match between the Sydney Thunder and the Sydney Sixers. He attended his brother's wedding in Hunter Valley on Friday and made it clear that he was determined to play for the Thunder by arriving in a helicopter just hours before the game.
Former Australian cricketer Lisa Sthalekar, the helicopter David Warner is seen taking a circuit around the SCG before landing, with a few media and security personnel on the ground to greet the experienced opener. Then he was spotted climbing out of the helicopter in his training suit, waving to fans who had gathered at the SCG to witness him arrive, and making his way to the dressing room.

Last year he was awesome for us: David Warner
Warner has already announced retirement from ODIs but will be available for T20Is and T20 leagues across the globe. He said, "We love having him here. Last year he was awesome for us, maybe didn’t score as many runs as he would have liked but around the group and passing on knowledge was awesome to have him around. He’s one of the better team men. All the fans get to enjoy him playing cricket."
Sean Abbott after the landing said, "He is a bit Hollywood, isn't he, that's very Davey. I got the Lime bike in today and I'll be doing the same tomorrow night and riding out the gate as Davey lands," the Sixers pacer said before the match."
