New Delhi, July 27th, 2022: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) today announced a long-term partnership aimed at transforming India into a global sporting powerhouse and hosting the Olympics in the near future. The partnership will also entail RIL supporting Indian athletes in multi-sport events like the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and Olympics. It also aims to boost the performances of Indian athletes along with supporting the national sports federations and strengthen India’s position as a global sporting nation.

The first-ever India House at the Paris Olympics 2024 will also be setup jointly by the IOA and RIL under the agreement. The Olympic hospitality houses are a games tradition, and India’s first Olympic House at Paris 2024 Olympics will be a historic milestone. Apart from being a home away from home for Indian athletes, it will also provide a great opportunity for the world to experience our rich Indian culture, values, heritage and latest developments on an international platform. With India’s growing prowess in Olympics sports, the India House is sure to attract visitors in large numbers.

India will also be hosting the 140th prestigious IOC Session in June 2023 in Mumbai in the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympics. The IOC Session, which coincides with the 75th year of Independence, will highlight the role of sport in India and celebrate the contribution of India to the Olympic Movement.
The deal between Indian Olympic Association and Reliance Industries Limited has been facilitated by IOS Sports & Entertainment, the official marketing agency for the apex body.

Nations from across the world strengthen their Olympic Movement involvement during the Olympic Games, with the official Olympic Hospitality House that gives the millions of fans and travellers a vision and an understanding of the country and also serves as an avenue to engage officials, sportspeople and their families and the public. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, over 50 nations had set up their country-specific Hospitality House, bringing to the games a combination of their country’s cultural and sporting history. The 2024 Paris Olympics will have India’s first house.
