'Wow, ye hai khubsurti cricket match ka' - Fans react as Pakistani supporter travels to Pallekele to watch Virat Kohli bat

India just got one point from the fixture against Pakistan as the match was washed out. They will face Nepal in their next game.

India could not get off the mark against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023. This was because the game was called off due to rain. The bright spot for the Men in Blue in the game was Ishan Kishan who made a cracking 82 off 81 balls with nine fours and two sixes. Ishan played a wonderful hand after India suffered a top-order collapse and were 48-3.

It was a game to forget for Virat Kohli as he was castled by Shaheen Afridi after scoring 4 off 7 balls with just one boundary. A Pakistani supporter had travelled to Sri Lanka to watch Kohli bat. She had painted the Indian and Pakistani flags on her cheeks and said that she was a die-hard Kohli fan.ย  The supporter further said that she was very disappointed when Kohli was unable to score a century.

Shaheen Afridi picked up 4-32 against India and also dismissed Virat Kohli

When she was asked the big question as to who is her favourite between Kohli and Babar Azam, she said it was Kohli. This is the beauty of a cricket game which transcends all and it keeps on giving something new and different every day. Coming back to the match, Pakistan called the right notes for most of the game.

The trio of Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi breathed fire on the Indian bowlers. The Men in Blue were very dependent on Rohit Sharma and Kohli to score big runs but it did not materialise. Hardik Pandya had a good outing with the bat as he made a well-crafted 87 off 90 balls with seven fours and one six.

Pandya was caught by Salman Ali Agha when Shaheen outfoxed him with a beautiful slower ball. Other than Kishan and Pandya, the lower order could not hang around as they fell quickly, the Men in Blue were all out in 48.5 overs. Shaheen picked up 4-35 in his ten overs. Rauf and Naseem took three wickets each in their respective spells. Pakistan were through to the Super Fours as they had 3 points from two games.
