India and Pakistan squared off against each other at Colombo for the second round of the big game in Asia Cup 2023. Due to rain interruptions, it ended up with it becoming a today game. On September 10, the scheduled day, India ended up at 147-2 in 24.1 overs with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill hitting half-centuries. Then the game resumed on September 11 with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli smashing tons which gave India a 228-run win.
A wonderful moment happened in the match as Rohit indicated to an Indian fan to wave the Indian flag when the game was on. The Men in Blue were very clinical with the ball as well. They did not allow the Pakistan batters to settle. The Babar Azam-led side could not read Kuldeep Yadav as he he picked up 5-25 in his eight overs spell.

Shanawaz Dahani and Zaman Khan were called in as cover for Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023
Pakistan were also hamstrung as they were without the services of Haris Rauf who had some discomfort on his left flank and also suffered some inflammation. Pakistan thankfully had the services of Faheem Ashraf who had a spell of 74 runs in his 10 overs. Naseem Shah also did not come out to bat in the second innings against India.
The Men in Green have announced coverups in the form of Zaman Khan and Shanawaz Dahani. Zaman has impressed in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). When it comes to Dahani, he was part of the Pakistan fast bowling group in the T20 World Cup 2022.
Pakistan have been playing cricket pretty much nonstop. The Men in Green had a home series against New Zealand. Then they played a Test series against Sri Lanka, followed by the Lanka Premier League (LPL) then before the Asia Cup they had a three-match series against Afghanistan in Sri Lanka. One of the talking points were that Pakistan could face burnout and injury problems heading into the Asia Cup and now it has happened.
