Akmal said in his Twitter post, "You were amazing in the finals, Mohammed Siraj, and congratulations, team India." As soon as he posted the message, it went viral on social media. Fans were spot on to identify the grammatical mistake in Akmal's post, as they reminded him to use 'were' in place of 'was', however,  Akmal did not try to rectify his mistake.

Meanwhile, India won the game and returned to Mumbai on a late-night flight. The team will now reassemble in the coming days to face Australia in a three-match ODI series. After which, the Indian team will start their World Cup campaign with two warm-up games against England and the Netherlands. However, the nine-match marquee tournament will start on October 5.

In the upcoming ODI World Cup, host India will play at nine different venues. The team will start their campaign against Australia at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8. They will then head to Delhi to face Afghanistan in Arun Jaitley Stadium on October 11. After two games, the marquee clash between India and Pakistan will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14.

It's worth noting that in the last few days, India has faced Pakistan in two games in the Asia Cup 2023. One match was washed out due to rain on September 2, while in another game, India thrashed Pakistan by 228 runs. This was India's biggest victory against its arch-rivals in terms of runs. However, Indian team management will want their players to stay safe and fresh before the World Cup.
