Mohammed Shami has made headlines for rattling opposition batters with his furious pace and has helped India win many matches. In Test matches, he has picked up 229 wickets in 64 Test matches at an economy rate of 3.30 and at a strike rate of 50.2. In the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Gujarat Titans (GT) pacer took 28 wickets in 17 matches at an average of 18.64 and at an economy rate of 8.03.

Now Shami has recently made headlines on social media with his looks as he has undergone a hair transplant ahead of the Asia Cup. When Shami uploaded pictures of his new look on social media, a lot of the fans had interesting reactions to it. Shami got the transplant done when he was mocked by Rishabh Pant for his hair loss problem on September 3.

The fans have also urged Rohit Sharma to get it done as well. The Indian skipper is facing a similar problem too. The facility that made Shami's hair restoration possible has said that it has successfully addressed the problem and completed a hair transplant operation,  Notably when Shami made his debut for India in 2013 he had hair problems back then. Shami will be one of the key players in the 2023 World Cup for India.

"Overall, I felt really good because treatment is one thing, but the behaviour of the staff and the treatment process – everything was very good and all of them were very supportive. Now, let’s observe what happens." Shami said in a video that was uploaded on YouTube. Shami has picked up 162 wickets in 90 matches and did very well for India in the 2019 World Cup.

In England four years earlier, Shami picked up 14 wickets in four games which included a hat trick against Afghanistan. The Bengal pacer has been one of the bowlers who has showcased his best in all three formats for India. The 32-year-old with his line and length will be wanting to breathe fire and help India win games in the Asia Cup.
