Amid all the match excitements and predictions, the eyes will be on Shreyas Iyer who is making a comeback into the Indian team after suffering a back injury. Iyer’s comeback was necessary for the Indian team as it solved the problem of number 4 which haunted the Indian team for quite some time now. The team management as well as fans would be banking on the star India batter to deliver on the stage against Pakistan as performing in this match will do wonders for him in the upcoming ODI World Cup which will be played on Indian soil.

Shreyas Iyer is certainly need of the hour in India's middle order

The star India batter has represented the Indian team in 38 innings scoring 1631 runs at a staggering average of 46.60 and most importantly the prolific batter has scored two centuries in the process along with 14 half-centuries. The comeback of Iyer in the Indian middle order especially at number four slot was eagerly awaited by the fans as the Indian team seemed to have struggled over the years to find a suitable number four in their playing XI.

Moreover, in the last year or so Iyer has scored most runs at number four for the Indian team. The swashbuckling India batter has scored 262 runs in seven innings at an average of 52.4.
