It was a controversial end to the Real Madrid vs Valencia game at the Mestalla stadium. Madrid and its fans were incensed when the referee blew the whistle in controversial circumstances.

It appeared as if Jude Bellingham had scored the goal that sealed the win for the Los Blancos. That’s when the final whistle was sounded out and the Madrid players surrounded the match official.

English player Jude Bellingham lost his cool and abused the referee and was sent off for this. The debate is still raging on as many fans feel that Real Madrid got what they deserved. Fans took to social media and spoke about how Malaga had scored an equalizer only for the referee to blow his whistle. 

Crazy night of football in LA Liga

With the season nearing its business LA Liga saw business pick up during the Real Madrid vs Valencia game. The entire game saw end-to-end football being played as the match ended in a draw at 2-2.

Hugo Duro put the home team Valencia in front with a sweet goal in the 27th minute. Roman Yaremchuk made it 2-0 just three minutes later. Vinicius Junior pulled one back in the 5th minute of stoppage time in the first half. 

Valencia came out strong in the 2nd half as they defended against the relentless pressure from Real Madrid. That pressure paid of when Vinicius got his second goal of the game to make it 2-2. 

Due to fouls and few stoppages, the referee had put up the board for nearly 10 minutes of stoppage time. Real Madrid found one last corner of the game as the ball was played just outside the box. 

Jude Bellingham rose over the defenders and scored the goal only to hear the final whistle go off.  Every Real Madrid player could be seen pleading the case with the match official who didn’t budge. It was at this moment that Bellingham was seen abusing the official and got sent off. 

Carlo Ancelotti speaking at the end of the game said “He didn’t insult the referee. He was respectful. He spoke in English and just said: ‘It was a f***ing goal”. Even the official website of the club wasn’t happy as they took a huge swipe at the officiating during the game.
